About Top-up Card

My phone has been lost; what should I do to report it? 

Please call the 24-hour free service hotline at 0800-080928 immediately to request the customer service staff to suspend the calls. Additionally, please bring your passport to a Chunghwa Telecom Company-operated service center to apply for a replacement card. A fee of 300 NTD for the replacement card is required. If there is still a balance within the validity period, the balance will be retained for continued use after reactivation. However, Chunghwa Telecom is not liable for any call charges, data usage, or the loss of the device incurred from the time of loss until the phone service is suspended.

I don't want to use the top-up card after just starting; can I return it? 

No. Once online services are activated, this service cannot be changed or cancelled. 

How can I top up my tablet for internet access ?

Step 1. Purchase a SIM card online. Select a top-up card on the website, enter your phone number, and make payment via credit card, convenience store, or ATM. The system will send an SMS with a 12-14 digits PIN code to your mobile phone. 

Step 2. You can call 928 and follow the voice prompts to enter the PIN code, or download the CHT Prepaid Card APP and enter the PIN code to activate the internet service immediately.

How to recharge and start using? 

To pay at Convenience store:

 After confirming your order, you will receive a payment barcode via text message. Please go to the convenience store to make the payment. After payment, you will receive a text message with your recharge PIN code. Scratch off the number, dial 928, follow the voice instructions to enter the 14-digit PIN code, and press the ‘#’ key; or download the CHT Prepaidcard APP, enter the recharge PIN code, and you can activate the internet service. 

 

Credit card payment: 

After confirming the payment for your order, it takes approximately 5 minutes to 1 hour to confirm receipt of payment. Once confirmed, the PIN code will be sent to your Inforshop member account. Enter the recharge PIN code in the CHT Prepaid Card APP to activate the internet service. 

How can I check my remaining data usage or how many days I can still use? 

To check the remaining data (measured type), rental time, and expiry time, please follow these steps:

(1) For prepaid card inquiries, contact customer service at 0800-220988 (customer service hours are 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM).

(2) Download the CHT Prepaid Card APP to check in the system. 

 

※If the daily data usage is below 300MB and is exhausted, a text message will be sent to notify customers one day before expiry and at the time of expiry. 

※If you are unable to check remaining data usage and validity, it means the internet plan you rented has expired or you did not successfully rent it. It is recommended that you call the customer service hotline: 0800-220988 for inquiries (customer service hours are 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM).

What is the difference between the day-type prepaid card and other types of prepaid cards?

During the rental period, unlimited internet browsing is available.

Currently, there are options such as "4G internet for 30 days at 499 with 22GB", "4G internet for 30 days at 599 with 50GB", "4G internet for 60 days at 999 with unlimited data", and "4G internet for 90 days at 1499 with unlimited data", suitable for users who frequently go online. *During the validity period of the service, if the included data is exceeded, the internet speed will be reduced to below 5Mbps until the service period expires, and there will be no additional internet charges.
